Label templates that match the sheets you already bought

Every layout uses the published sheet measurements (label size, margins and spacing), so your design lands inside the die-cut lines. Find your product number on the pack and pick the match.

Start from what you are labelling

Each of these opens the editor with a starter design on the right label size, plus notes on what to include.

How to make labels in four steps

  1. Pick your sheet. Match the product number on your label pack (for example Avery 5160) in the template menu.
  2. Design one label. Edit the text, add a logo, QR code or barcode, and choose a style. Drag things around the label.
  3. Fill the sheet. Repeat the same label, or paste a list for a different name or address on each one. Skip used spots on a partial sheet.
  4. Print at 100%. Turn off “Fit to page”, test on plain paper, then load the label sheet.

Why labels print out of line

Nearly every misaligned sheet comes from one of two causes: the print dialog shrinking the page to fit (the error grows toward the bottom of the sheet), or the printer feeding paper slightly off-centre (every label shifts the same amount). The fixes are different.

Label maker questions

How can I design my own labels for free?

Pick the label size you bought (or enter a custom size), edit the starter design with your text, logo, QR code or barcode, then print at 100% or save a PDF. LabelStudio does all of this free in the browser with no account.

How do I make my own labels at home?

You need printable label sheets that match your printer (inkjet or laser) or a thermal label printer. Design the label, print one test page on plain paper to check alignment, then print on the real labels.

How much does it cost to create your own label?

Designing here is free. Your only costs are the blank labels and ink or toner, or thermal labels if you use a label printer. Prices vary by brand and material, so compare per-sheet prices before you buy.

Does it work with DYMO, Brother, Zebra or Rollo label printers?

Yes. Choose a DYMO LabelWriter, Brother DK or 4×6 / 3×2 / 2×1 thermal size; each label prints as its own page through the printer driver. See the thermal label maker page for setup tips.

Is LabelStudio really free?

Yes. Designing, printing and saving PDFs are free with no account, watermark or sheet limit. There is nothing to download or install.

Which label sheets does it support?

39 layouts covering 140+ Avery product numbers on US Letter and A4, including 5160, 5163, 5164, 5167, 22807 and L7160, plus DYMO LabelWriter, Brother DK and 4 × 6 / 3 × 2 / 2 × 1" thermal labels. Anything else: enter a custom size.

How do I print labels that line up?

Print at 100% / Actual size with no scaling, and test on plain paper first. If every label is off by the same amount, enter that offset under Printer alignment and it is remembered on this device.

Can I save my label as a PDF?

Yes. Click Print and choose “Save as PDF” as the printer. The PDF keeps the exact sheet layout, so you can print it later or send it to a print shop.

Is my design saved?

Your latest design is saved automatically in your browser (localStorage) on this device. Nothing is uploaded; you can clear it any time from the privacy page.

Can I print different text on every label?

Yes. Under Sheet & print choose “Different text per label” and paste a list. Addresses, names, pantry items or folder names each get their own label.
